Installing Your Own Sprinkler Systems?

So you've finally decided that you want to take your lawn to the next level. For many people this involves the installation of sprinkler systems. These types of systems are ideal for many reasons. The primary being they keep your yard looking great and well watered. There are few things to think about before installing the system, so let's discuss them.

Survey Your Yard:

Plan out The Installation
You next want to plan out the installation of your sprinkler systems. You want to make sure that the water spigots are located to provide maximum coverage. At the same time you want to minimize water waste. This will help keep your utilities down during times of most usage. You also want to make sure that walkways and sidewalks are located to near the sprinkler heads. Nothing is worse than getting drenched on your way into your home!

Build Your System
Now the time has come to build your system. There are sprinkler systems experts who will happily install for you. Or you may decide that you want to this to be a DIY job. No matte what method your choose you want to be sure that you are not violating any codes. So check in your HOA or local city planning office before your start.
